I found this site thanks to [livejournal.com profile] corsykitty . Check out her drabble too. When I put in some words, this is what it came up with. Warning: don't drink any beverages during reading of this drabble. Your computer screen or keyboard will thank you:-)

I'm sooo lazy this week it's unbelievable. The week started of busy, Monday and Tuesday I had two eleven hour shifts at the shop - new job (first time behind the till after more than a half year, yikes). I was dead on my feet both days and slept as soon as I got to bed, so no time for any challenges, didn't even check my F-list properly.

Yesterday I was busy dealing with paperwork from my old job, to get everything right and ready for the taxes. Then I met up with friend, we went to our favorite china restaurant, ate and talked and finally went to see Sherlock Holmes 2, which was a riot. I laughed through most of the movie, because RDJ was just brilliant!

I couldn't stop thinking what an awesome movie it is, especially for those who make fanvids, because wow... did you see the camera effects? So many ways to use it in a fanvid! I can't wait for the DVD's to come out, to see some vids from all the awesome people out there.

Anyways, it brings me to today, which I just lazed away. I am somehow unable to wake up and do anything useful. And I have no work to do till Sunday, which is... great, I know, but... if I'll stay this *unproductive* till then, I shall headdesk myself to Sunday. Sooooo.... based on this, I've decided I need to work on one of my WIPs. Now just to decide which one....

Here comes poll time. Click on the fic which you would like me to work on, and I promise to write a 500 words minimum daily for it for the following three days. Shall present you with a chapter or an excerpt or the whole fic by Monday. Deal?

Wishing all of my fantastic f-list a Happy New Year! May it be the best year for all of us!

leoraine: (Will_smile)
It's the end of the year and the program in the telly is rubbish, so I decided to do a meme. Because my friend list seems to be filled with Fandom, (and I liked the questions), here, have some fandom meme. Grabbed from[personal profile] katikat , so she's not the only one saying baa:-)

Fandom meme! Run while you can! )

I guess it's time to do a fic round-up for year 2011. I'm doing this the first time, but hopefully it will become a yearly tradition:-)

Statistics:

Number of fics:
28
Collective word count:  46,660
Shortest fic: 448 (CSI New York - Nature's Blanket)
Longest fic: 5514 (Sanctuary - Aftermaths: Requiem)

Wow, it seems that I've written many short fics, but not one long. Which isn't my usual way, but alas, the challenges, NCIS LFWS and prompts all over LJ at least kept me writing.

Now onto the unfinished/unposted stories round-up for this year:

Number of WIP fics started in 2011: 13
Collective WIP word count:
21,463
Shortest WIP fic:
115 (NCIS - Stuck) and second shortest is 147 (Listener - Isolation)
Longest WIP fic:
5752 (Sanctuary - Flu)

Hm, now I've become curious as to what all did I write. Purely for my own archiving purposes, (and in case you wanna know what a slob I am, what with unable to finish things), here's my all around round-up of fics posted/unposted/fanfic/original that I wrote during the last ten years. Feel free to skip:-)

Other uninteresting word counts:-) )

Oooo, so during looking for another movie like Burlesque or August Rush I discovered a little site called TasteKid.

It's something like Pandora or Last.fm at least I think so. I was unable to register at Pandora because it isn't supported in my country (they hadn't yet worked out some legal issues) so I was happy to find a site that will recommend some new music based on what I already like.

The plus side to TasteKid?

It doesn't recommend just music... it recommends Movies, TV Shows, Books, Authors and even games. I know that not all of the recs work out, but there's always a short summary and a trailer put up and it's easy to use and it's kinda addicting! Oh, and it found me several cool recs already, for music as well as for movies! So if you don't hear from me for the next few days, blame TasteKid, because I'll probably be holed up watching and listening to new stuff:-)

Today was a Holiday and it started off my four day weekend. Yay! Nevermind the lingering cold I caught from a co-worker, or the low temperatures outside. I had a whole day without work, just lazing around and watching movies! There were two to be exact, both filled with music. First I watched Burlesque and enjoyed it much. I liked the music, I liked Stanley Tucci and Cher and I totally loved Cam Gigandet esp in his red pajamas (and later without them lol). What's not to love here?

Rest of the pretties here! )

Oh, any good recs for me? What is your favorite music movie? I've already watched Once, Hairspray, Billy Eliott and some musicals, but I'm looking for more. It doesn't have to be just about singing, I'll take dancing, playing some instrument or any other artistic feature that has some music connected. Any tips?

leoraine: (gabriel_macht_cute)
Hm, so this is just a short list for my own reference... something to look at before the year ends and do something about it, sigh. Or it can turn into a NewYears resolution? Lol.

THINGS TO DO:

- Write a fic for [livejournal.com profile] sanctuary_santa (Yes I joined, no I don't know what I got myself into, lol, though I'm kinda excited)

- Write Suits fic for [livejournal.com profile] kriadydragon's prompt over at suits_gen comment meme. Progress: 1600 words of an outline. The whole fic is right there, just needed to be written.

- Write a Haven fic for kriadydragon. Progress: poking around several ideas, trying to pick one.

- Finish NCIS fic Underground. Progress: it only needs a second chapter, but I haven't looked at the fic several months now. Grrr. But I HAVE TO!

- Finish NCIS fic Smokescreen! Progress: I have one un-posted chapter. The fic is already long and nearing the end. I have an outline, but I didn't touch it for almost two years now. GOTTA FINISH THIS!!!! Somehow, sometime.

- 2 Sanctuary fics which have several pages written. Luckily, nothing was posted so no one is waiting. Except poor Will, who was left in a rather awkward situation.

- 1 Listener fic that's partway done. Also not posted yet, thankfully.

- 1 Blue blood fic that isn't finished and needs a re-write.

- Probably ten more fics of miscellanous fandoms, laying around as long as three years or three months. Please tell me I'm not the only one procrastinating?

Oh, and there's also the h/c bingo and Sanctuary bingo which I signed up for. At least I have two fics for the h/c bingo.

Because I had a really sucky day, I needed a little reminder that there aren't just rainy days. So photos from the end of summer and the start of autumn. Enjoy!

I must admit, I'm not a trick R treating person. We don't have Halloween where I live, but there's Halloween all around my f-list and I got kinda sucked in. It helps that the weather is horrible lol. No snow yet, but it's cold, dark and I haven't seen the sun for several days now. It's best to stay at home, huddle up and watch some good movies. Here comes you my dear f-list.

If you have Halloween, what are your classic movies to watch? What are your totally must see movies for Christmas?

So far, I have several favorites of my own, like:

The Nightmare Before Christmas
National Lampoon Christmas Vacation
Home Alone
Corpse Bride
Grinch

I prefer comedies or feel good movies for the Christmas, but for Halloween I'm open to anything (except pure slasher movies) Any tips?

Comment to this entry and I'll give you a letter. List ten things, people, places, beings, thoughts, feelings, that you love that begin with that letter and then post that list on your journal. *if you just want to comment and don't want a letter, I understand that too*

[livejournal.com profile] saphirablue gave me the letter *M*See my words:-) )

Life is a little busy around my corner right now and I had no time or inclination to post anything these last few weeks, but it's Sunday and I have some free time (that could be spent writing, I know, but duh. It's too hot for that:-) so I decided to make a small rec post. Vids and fic ahoy! Here are my latest delicious additions. Enjoy!

FANFICS

Uhm, okay, so there's a little more in the fiction department. To make it easier on me, and probably on you too, here are my delicious tag bundles by fandom.

Do YOU have any good recs? Seen a vid you liked? Or read a story that made you grab a tissue box either from laughter or tears? Comment with a rec:-)
leoraine: (castiel)
Taken from [livejournal.com profile] kriadydragon  . I prompted so I have to be prompted too:-)

The first five people to comment on this post get to request that I write a ficlet of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level.

Fandoms: Sanctuary, Suits, NCIS, Listener and Supernatural. Depending on the prompt, I might give a try to The Glades, Haven and CSI New York too.

Only gen requests please.

Yesterday was a really great day. It started out ugly, with lots of clouds, but by noon they vanished. Friend called me to him for coffee, mentioning something about helping him look for a cache (I had no idea what he meant, lol). Well, he introduced me to Geocaching and wow, I love it! It's fun, and it took us to places we normally wouldn't go to (we were fighting our way through grass and stuff that was neck high, through bushes and going down a really steep hill and other funny stuff)

The sun came out and we spent seven hours outside, looking for caches. Found three, have the final coordinates for one and practically found another one, but didn't have any rope needed for the climbing. The only downside was that I didn't know we were gonna do that so I hadn't brought my camera. Thus I had to use my cell phone, which is a lower quality. Still, 81 pictures! Lol. Here are at least few of them, the ones I like the most:-)

Anyone of my f-list a Cacher? Some of the more interesting places you found your cache on or stories about how you get lost? :-)
