Day 7

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Drop a link to your wish-list in this post. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

Day 6

In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.

Challenges Day 3 and Day 4 were about commenting and friending new people, which I did. Now's the time for

Day 5

In your own space, share something non-fannish you are passionate about with your fannish friends. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

It took me a while to figure out what I could post about. I love playing my keyboard, I like geocaching with friends as well as playing video games. None of those fit the bill though. Then my eyes fell on my camera, and the lights went on. Of course. The one thing I enjoy, and will continue to enjoy until the end of days, is photography. I'm not a professional by any means, heck, I sometimes use the camera on my phone and my Olympus is one of the cheapest on the market. But... I love taking photos. I love playing with them in photoshop and posting them on the net, or just browsing through them when I feel down. I'm not big on photographing people (or well, I can take a picture of a friend just right, but being photographed myself? Utter catastrophe, lol). What I love is nature. Sunshine, or water... be it winter or summer, or fall. So, without much ado, here are some of my favorite pictures, ones that I love the most.

Day 2

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Drop a link to your post in the comments. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom and maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.

Fanvid rec

Sail by Amanda - A fanvid for the movie The Fall.
Why recced: I think this vid is seriously underappreciated, at least there's not many comments on the OP, though I don't understand why. It's perfect. The effects, the cut, the music... the whole story of the movie told in few minutes, much more comprehensibly and emotionally than the movie managed to do itself. I first saw the vid, then the movie, and still... the fanvid resonates in me. Go watch... and give some love to the author. Please.

Fanfic rec

Reluctance by Sunlitroses
- Sanctuary fandom
Summary: He tended to think of it more as a battle of wits than anything more sinister or underhanded. She wanted to doctor; he wanted to not be in the infirmary. Ever.
Why recced: I must admit, I'm a h/c junkie. I love a well written fic with believable characters. I love angst and fluff and friendship, and this fic has it all. Bonus points for the focus being on my favorite character Will, as well as Helen. Also if you like this fic, be sure to check out the author's other fics and give some reviews:-)

Original fic rec

Keeper by Kristine Williams
Summary: When Captain Alex Marcase's estranged father dies, he hopes his inheritance will be enough to fund his next deep space expedition. When his inheritance turns out to be a genetically-altered slave named Evan, it's just the beginning of the end of Alex's normal, orderly life.
Not only does Evan have his own brand of morality, his special abilities are coveted by his late owner's enemies. As the pair head into deep space with their enemies in hot pursuit, Alex's chief rival ahead of them, and a saboteur onboard their ship, will they be able to learn to appreciate each other as individuals in time?
Or will their differences be too much to overcome?

Why Recced: Because it's one of the best science fiction series I've ever read! No kidding... it has all I love in a good fic. Well written characters, plot, friendship, a whole universe that makes SENSE and lots of action. Did I mention friendship? The series has three more books written and published, and they're equally awesome. The author decided to put the books on for sale, even though you can still download them for free. Read them. Comment. And please... if you love them as much as they deserve, and have the finances.... buy them. Because such talent needs support.

Finally, we were asked for three recs, but if you like at least one of my recs and think you would love some more, check out my delicious list.

Day 1: In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Drop a link to your post in the comments.

Well, this feels strange, lol. I'm not one to rec my own works, unless there's some specific fic search going on, but I'll try.
